Shama Hyder (Urdu: ??? ??????) (born 25 April 1985) is an Indian technology entrepreneur, a best-selling author, a public speaker, and a web and television personality. She is chief executive officer of the Marketing Zen Group, a full-service web marketing agency she founded in 2009. and author of The Zen of Social Media Marketing: An Easier Way to Build Credibility, Generate Buzz, and Increase Revenue which is among the top three selling web marketing books on Amazon.com.
Biography
Shama Hyder was born Shama Kabani in Goa, India in 1985. When she was 9 years old, she and her family immigrated to the United States, settling in Carrollton, Texas. In 2003, she graduated from Carrollton's R. L. Turner High School, and then attended The University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a master's degree in organizational communication in 2008.

In July 2011, she was part of the eleven member delegation of young American and Danish entrepreneurs who travelled to Cairo to share ideas with young Egyptian entrepreneurs on how to build a successful business. The trip was arranged by the Young Entrepreneur Council, in coordination with the United States State Department's new Global Entrepreneurship Program, USAID, the governments of Denmark and Egypt, and several other entrepreneurship organizations. The visiting entrepreneurs conducted a week-long startup company boot camp.
